Core Leather Vest
Our rugged version of a waistcoat. Wear it on its own or layered suavely under a sport coat. The leather is a slightly weathered skin that's been tumbled for softness and shaped for a slim, tailored fit. Lined with plaid fabric, it's wildly comfortable and cozier than most leather vests. The full chest zip has a snapped storm flap for anti-weather defense. Four outside pockets and three more inside. Professional leather clean. Imported in Black.

This Vest Defines My Husband

Ask anyone what my man looks like, and they'll describe him in this rugged garment with the screaming eagle he had appliqued on the back. He wears it as a jacket substitute; never have I seen him try to fit it under a coat. He chose it himself, as much for its manly statement as its warmth and its practical pockets, I think.
This is most definitely a substantial garment, with the heft and patina of a durable leather. The distressing gives it the look of a well-worn, well-loved companion--right out of the box. Well-loved, well-worn it has been for several years now, and holding up most magnificently, thank you.
This rugged vest is, in one word, iconic. No, two words: burly and iconic. You may even decide to stop shaving.

The vest is as described elsewhere, beefy, warm, attracts attention and compliments. It is excellent quality leather, but relatively stiff. My only (small) dissatisfaction is that the rounded collar tends not to stay flat while wearing the vest and so pushes up around the neck and cheek while driving and wearing a seatbelt.

I probably own 40 vests. This is by far the best looking. I wear it around the house all day so I can keep the thermostat turned down. I wear it under a light biker jacket on cool days and under my heavy riding jacket when the temperature gets below 50. The two lower side pockets could be bigger but the others are deep enough. Two side hand warmer pockets would be a great addition.

Wow......I bought this vest at 25% off and free shipping.....too bad the zipper does not work.
this was my only christmas gift.
I am amazed at all the excellent ratings....and that is why I bought this vest.
I have purchased many TTA items, compound interest coat, many shirts, all are excellent, but this time TTA quality is a failure....did you guys ship the bad zipper product to the people who used the christmas discount....I will return this POC....too bad because it fit really well and looked good....

Tossed this one around for quite a while, thought it was a bit pricey. However, when T.A. ran one of their gr8 sales I made my purchase . . . Suffice it to say: I'm glad I did ! Got this vest at a sale price for my brother's birthday gift. My husband has one and wears it all the time. My bro said he gets compliments from other men on this vest! It is rugged, functional (which is top priority w/my Man), very well made, great detail. Sizes are true so if you usually wear a medium get the medium. You can wear a sweater/sweatshirt under this but it is NOT recommended for use under a coat - would be bulky. It is a manly looking vest that updates a mans wardrobe and has enough pockets to put all his "stuff" away. The leather is stiff at first but softens over use. It will last a LIFETIME! Wish this vest was designed in a smaller version for women's sizes especially an XS as I would wear it all everyday too.

After initially hesitating over the price, I've now had this vest for 2 years and live in it for the better part of 3 seasons. Rugged, well fitting and functional, the vest provides various options for layering, mostly under. I am 6' with a 35" waist and find the large works for me, as part of a layering system geared to the seasons (we have 4, sometimes 3 in a day). I use all of the pockets to advantage and added small pulls to the few hard to get pocket zippers. I've gotten one for my son, who also loves it.

I have wanted one of these TA vests for quite a while, but returned it after purchase. The copy states that it has a trim, tailored fit that can be worn under a sport jacket. I ordered a medium and it was so bulky through the body that there is no way to fit it under a sport jacket. Be advised - this will only be a tailored fit if you have a very ample gut.

Bought this vest in November 2010. Have worn it out on the town on four occasions and have gotten a compliment every time. Fit is tailored and the size is true. I am 5'11", 170 lbs and I am fit. The medium fits me perfectly.

Top quality leather and great looking vest. Great as a top layer under a thick shirt or even a light sweater. The vest is warm and comfy. As a side note, the leather is a bit worn, but it adds to the charm.

Had my eye on this vest for my husband after reading positive reviews for 6 months. Took advantage of a recent sale and purchased the vest. He loves it. It's the perfect riding vest. I know it's a hit because he wears it every day to the office, too! He gets loads of compliments from both men and women who want to get one for their husbands. He generally wears an XL or XXL in TA clothing. We bought the XL and it's a perfect fit. If you're on the fence... jump, you won't regret this purchase!

I am a "middle aged " female, I have bought this vest for the fall season. It is very nice with jeans, or other casual pants. I like to wear it with wrinkle resistant shirt and
a silk feminine scarf.

I am 5' 2" , 130 lb and a medium vest fits well, I wanted to have it loser for sweaters.
It is very well made, fairly thick leather, has some weight, good wind breaker, tolerates water well, it does not stain easily , easy to clean with a damp cloth and I use a simple olive oil to keep it supple.

In British Columbia, where I ride in the mountains, this vest is absolutely perfect for the days when a jacket is too much. The length is perfect for the riding position, it is stylish as I receive compliments all the time from admirers. And we can't have enough of those. Thanks for the great vest!

Wanted this last year but it was out of stock.So I waited until this summer, It arrived last week, superb quality but with one small issue, a front pannel did not match all of the others. I spoke with staff on the phone and a new vest was sent straight out. It arrived three days later and it is superb.
The quality of the leather, zipper, stitching and lining are five star. The leather is thick and obviously very durable, it will outlive me. One person said that the front pockets were very small, well at 6ft 2in and no fat, my hands are very large, I can get my fist in easily but could not place an open hand in one, but few of my jackets will not let me do that.
For the money it may be on the pricey side but you get what you pay for. Now I am just waiting for some cold weather.

Well, as you can see, out of 15 reviews there's only one low rating so that tells you something. This is a guy's vest. It looks rugged, it feels rugged. The distressing is just right, giving it a natural worn look without going too far. The leather is thick. Plenty of pockets for the things you carry about regularly. I bought it for riding the Harley on cool San Diego mornings and it meets the specs beautifully. Why I put off buying it for so long, I don't know, but I'm glad I finally did. If you want a GQ look, try a nice tweed or something.

I have had many leather vests and truly this one is a "keeper". The fit is great and the leather is heavy and high quality with good attention to detail. The pockets are a little small but there are several. All in all, this is one of the best leather purchases I have made and, as always, this company is excellent to deal with.
